Privacy Policy

Effective as of January 1, 2017

Icebreaker Entertainment, LLC is a New York limited liability company and creator of various brands, mobile applications, and consumer products, including the Sexy Slang ® family of apps (“Icebreaker,” “we,” “us,” “our”).  We have created this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) because we know you care about how information you provide to us is utilized and shared.  Our Privacy Policy relates to Icebreaker’s information collection and usage practices in connection with our online services and mobile applications (“Services”) which we make available through a variety of platforms, such as through our various websites (the “Website”), through Facebook, Twitter, and other social media (collectively, “Social Media”), and through smart phones, tablets, personal digital assistants, and other mobile devices (collectively, “Mobile Devices”).  The Websites, our Social Media pages, and the Mobile Devices are collectively referred to as “Platforms.”

We strive to educate parents and children about how to appropriately safeguard their privacy when using our Services and we are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.  We urge children to obtain permission from their parents before entering information on any one of our Platforms, and we recommend that parents discuss with their children restrictions regarding the online release of Personal Information (as defined below) to anyone they do not know.

By visiting our Websites and/or using our Services on any of the Platforms, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected

1. Personal Information

When you sign up for certain Services (e.g., joining our mailing list), you may be prompted to provide limited personal information about yourself (collectively, the “Personal Information”).  Such Personal Information may include your e-mail address and name.   We do not collect any Personal Information from you when you use the Services unless you provide us with the Personal Information voluntarily.  And, we do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  Children, please do not provide us any Personal Information without your parents’ permission.

 

2. Billing Information

In order to purchase some of our goods and Services, parents and other individuals older than 13 may be required to provide additional information to the Personal Information noted above.  Such information may include a debit card number, credit card number, billing address, and similar information (collectively, “Billing Information”).

 

3. Other Information

In addition to the Personal Information and the Billing Information noted above that you voluntarily provide, we may collect additional information (collectively, “Other Information”).  Such Other Information may include:

From You:  Additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide, such as your age, gender, and product and service preferences.

From Your Activity:  Information that we automatically collect when you use the Services, such as the type of Platform you are using, device model, operating system, mobile application version, your IP addresses, browser type and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Website you visit, and similar information concerning your use of the mobile applications.

From Cookies:  Information that we collect using “cookie” technology.  Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit.  Cookies are used to help us collect Other Information and to enhance your experience using the Services.  If you do not want the Platforms to place a cookie on your hard drive, you should be able to turn that feature off on your computer and/or mobile device.  Please consult your Internet browser’s documentation for information on how to do this.  However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, some of our Services may not function properly.

 

4. To utilize all of the features of our mobile applications, we require access to information:

From your mobile device’s, camera, microphone and/or photo library:  Our mobile applications marketed to adults (our “Apps”) requires access to your microphone, camera and/or photo library, in order to create photographs or videos that you may keep for yourself or share with others. This data is never collected by us or any third party.  We never share this data, nor do we share your photos or videos, with third parties.

When sharing photos or videos upon your request: Our Apps can be used to share photos or videos you have made, on social media and other mediums, but only when you explicitly choose to do so.

For the collection and storage of device data: We may collect the data necessary for us to maintain and analyze the functioning of our Apps.  Although some of this information (such as IDFA, IDFV, Advertising ID, Android ID, IP address) may uniquely identify your device, this information does not identify you personally.  We use the information we collect from you for delivering and promoting our services, internal analysis and research to improve the services. You hereby allow us to collect, process and store the data as stated in this Privacy Policy.  We store your information for as long as needed to provide you with our services. We may store information longer, but only in a way that it cannot be tracked back to you. We delete the information as soon as we do not need them for providing our services.

 

Accessing & Modifying Personal Information & Communication Preferences

If you have signed up or registered for the Services, you may access, review, and make changes to your Personal Information and/or Billing Information by (i) e-mailing us at info@icebreakerentertainment.com, or (ii) following the instructions found on the applicable Platform.  In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any e-mail message you receive from us.  You cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to your account, however.  We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner.  You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.

Icebreaker strives to help parents ensure that their children have a safe and enjoyable experience using our Services.  By e-mailing us at info@icebreakerentertainment.com, Parents can review any Personal Information collected about their child under 13 years old, have this information deleted, and/or request that there be no further collection or use of their child’s Personal Information.  We take steps to verify the identity of anyone requesting information about a child and to ensure that the person is in fact the child’s parent or legal guardian.

 

How We Protect Your Information

We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the Personal Information, the Billing Information, and the Other Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.  We use industry-standard technology, a secure server, and other physical and procedural safeguards to protect the security of such information.  Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable.  Icebreaker cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the Platforms may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail.

 

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through the Services.  If you are under 13, please do not give us any Personal Information without your parents’ permission.  We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide Personal Information through the Services without their permission.  If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to us without such parental consent, please contact us at info@icebreakerentertainment.com, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

The Website and Services may contain links to third-party websites.  We have no control over the privacy practices or the content of any of our business partners, charitable organizations, advertisers, sponsors, or other websites to which we provide links.  As such, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites.  You should check the applicable third-party privacy policy and terms of use when visiting any other websites.

 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date stated at the top of this Privacy Policy.  We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post any changes on the Website and mobile applications as soon as they go into effect.  By accessing the Website and/or using the Services after we make any such changes to this Privacy Policy, you are deemed to have accepted such changes.  Please refer back to this Privacy Policy on a regular basis.

 

Important Notice to Non-U.S. Residents

Our Website and our Services are operated in the United States.  If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide will be transferred to the United States.  By visiting our Website, using our Services, and/or providing us with any information, you consent to this transfer.
